How to find friends by their location.
Apple’s Find My app lets you share your device’s location with other people so they can easily find you. This is very convenient if you are making an appointment in an unfamiliar area. But this useful app only works for iOS devices. Fortunately, Android users have not one, but several alternatives to this program. And we will tell you about them now.
Many of these apps not only show you the location of the device, but also offer extra features not found on apple devices. So you definitely won’t be left behind.

Google Maps – for those who do not want to install third-party programs

Chances are you already have a free app that lets you share your location with your friends, you just didn’t know it. The answer is obvious – Google Maps. To share your location, tap the three horizontal lines on the top left corner of the Google Maps app screen and enter settings. Here you will find location data, as well as the “Share Location” option. You will need to sign in with your Google account to use this feature. You can share your location with other people temporarily or until you turn off location sharing.

Life360 – Share location and communicate

Available for both Android and iOS, Life360 offers location-sharing services as well as multiple work options. The free version has the ability to set and receive location alerts when friends or family members arrive at or leave a specific location, as well as share your location and chat via chat right inside the program. Other options, such as using the program as a navigator while driving, are available on a subscription basis.

GeoZilla – Locations & To Do List

GeoZilla offers location sharing along with trusted contacts, chat with friends, and the ability to be notified when people arrive or leave a dedicated area. And there is also a task scheduler that allows you to schedule tasks based on geolocation data. Quite an interesting option, in our opinion. The paid version has the ability to access a 14-day location history of your friends. If they don’t mind, of course.

Sygic Family Locator – For your own safety

In addition to the basic feature that allows you to share your location, Sygic Family Locator also offers the ability to set both safe and unsafe zones for specific people on your friends list to visit. For example, when your child enters such an unsafe area, you will receive a notification. How do you feel about this feature?

Glympse – You don’t even need to install

It also allows you to temporarily share your location with friends and family. That being said, which is very cool, you can use the application on Android or iOS, but the person with whom you share your location does not need to install the program for themselves, as they can simply follow your location in the browser. Incredibly handy option that would be nice to take on board and other developers.
